Dr. Alli’s love of veterinary medicine began with her grandfather, Dr. Gary Troutman, who was the only veterinarian for a small town in rural Iowa. He embodied the qualities that she values in a veterinarian: compassion, knowledge, a strong work ethic, practicality, honesty, and fairness. Values which Dr. Alli strives to emulate in her practice of veterinary medicine every day.

Her interest in integrative medicine began during veterinary school. In addition to her required studies, she attended the Chi Institute during her third year of veterinary school and became a certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. During her fourth year of veterinary school she became certified in Animal Chiropractic by Options For Animals College of Animal Chiropractic and by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. 

 

She founded Integrative Veterinary Service in 2015 with one employee. Over the past decade, the clinic has grown into a team of nearly 30 women. She is currently pursuing her Master of Animal Sciences degree in animal nutrition at the University of Illinois while continuing her clinical practice at IVS.

She served on the Board of Directors of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association (AHVMA) from 2016 through 2023 and as President of the association from 2022 through 2023.

 

Alli has been happily married to her husband Drew for 10 years, and they have four daughters, Avery, Hayden, Noa, and Ryleigh. Their family lives on a hobby farm in Wisconsin and have three dogs, two rats, a tortoise, and twenty five happy chickens.
