Perna canaliculus (GlycOmega™ brand Green-Lipped Mussel)

Unlike many other Perna products, GlycOmega™ is produced using an advanced flash-dry process to ensure all the bioactive proteins and Omega-3 lipids are retained. Typical air-drying processes reduce the essential nutrients and bioactivity, whereas the flash-dry process retains all of the essential nutrients.

Glucosamine is a critical building block of many parts of your pet’s joints, including ligaments, tendons, cartilage and joint fluid.

MSM is a sulfur compound naturally produced by the body. It is an important part of healthy collagen production, among other things such as the production of immunoglobulins, which help your pet’s immune system. It also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

Chondroitin is an essential component of your pet’s cartilage and connective tissues, and helps keep cartilage healthy by absorbing fluid into the connective tissue giving it its necessary shock absorbing qualities. It provides the building blocks for your dog’s body to produce new cartilage, and may also block enzymes that break down cartilage. 

Herbs like Boswellia and Corydalis support a normal inflammatory response, and have antioxidant properties to help ease stiffness and discomfort.

Green tea extract contains high levels of antioxidants and bioactive compounds such as catechins that play an important role in maintaining healthy joints and muscles. Compounds found in green tea extract also may help to keep cartilage healthy by blocking enzymes that break down cartilage.

Hyaluronic acid is necessary for maintaining the proper viscosity of the joint fluid, and acts as a cushion and lubricant in the joints and other tissues.
