Bovine colostrum, the first milk produced after a calf is born, is naturally rich in lactoferrin, lysozyme, lactoperoxidase, growth factors, and immunoglobulins (antibodies IgG, IgM and IgA). Perna canaliculus (GlycOmega™ brand Green-Lipped Mussel) 

Unlike many other Perna products, GlycOmega™ is produced using an advanced flash-dry process to ensure all the bioactive proteins and Omega-3 lipids are retained. Typical air-drying processes reduce the essential nutrients and bioactivity, whereas the flash-dry process retains all of the essential nutrients.

Saccharomyces boulardii is a gut-friendly probiotic yeast, not bacteria. Unlike bacterial probiotics, S. boulardii isn’t affected by antibiotics, so it can be given at the same time as antibiotic treatment. This can be helpful to reduce digestive side effects that antibiotics often cause. Studies have shown that when S. boulardii is given along with an antibiotic, dogs are much less likely to develop digestive upset from the medication.

Larch Arabinogalactan is a soluble fiber that not only supports digestive health, but also healthy immune system function. This  natural substance sourced from the bark of the larch tree (Larix occidentalis), has been shown in studies to enhance natural killer cells and macrophages, part of the body’s natural defenses. Studies have also shown it to improve levels of beneficial bacteria and reduce levels of harmful bacteria in dogs.

MCT (medium chain triglyceride) oil is derived from coconut oil, and contains mainly caprylic (C8:0) and capric (C10:0) acid. This healthy fat source is gut-friendly and is rapidly absorbed into the body because it does not require bile salts to break it down, unlike long chain fatty acids. MCTs act as an immediate source of energy because they can be directly absorbed into the bloodstream. Studies have shown that MCTs have immune activating and modulatory benefits via multiple mechanisms. Research has also shown in several animal studies that MCTs improve immune and antioxidant functions, intestinal health, gut barrier function and intestinal integrity. 

Nutritional yeast is a deactivated form of Saccharomyces cerevisiae that is widely used as a functional food due to its bold natural cheese flavor and health-supporting benefits.
